"More time for clients": b-edgile handed IT over to deeploi

IT Challenge

b-edgile is a consultancy delivering SAP supply-chain and agile-transformation projects across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Silvan Forster, Founder & CEO, was acting as the company’s sole “IT admin”: purchasing and shipping hardware, assigning SaaS licenses and solving repetitive IT requests from the team.

“I was mainly the go-to person for everything… explaining the same things,” Silvan shares.

Device tracking was handled manually, using Excel spreadsheets, but there was no link between procurement, assignment and current usage. It was hard to keep the spreadsheet up to date. Plus, Silvan sometimes had to personally ship and return devices via the post office.

Onboarding was another bottleneck. With new team members joining at short notice, Silvan often had to quickly prepare devices and access in time. “It was important to not only organize onboarding, but to really provide a good experience – no delays, ready to work quickly and in a structured way.”

Additionally, as phishing attempts increased, the company also needed stronger visibility and control over devices and data across a hybrid workforce.

Solution with deeploi

b-edgile found its answer in deeploi. The rollout to deeploi was quick and efficient: just two sessions and no interruptions to workflows. “Straightforward, smooth, and easy to understand,” Silvan remembers.

From that point on, deeploi took over core IT operations.

Hardware procurement. New laptops and phones are ordered via a self-service catalogue and shipped directly to employees across Germany and Austria. Devices arrive pre-configured with the necessary apps pre-installed.

Mobile Device Management (MDM). Devices are automatically enrolled in deeploi’s MDM, applying company-approved apps, settings and security policies from the first connection, keeping everything up to date automatically and giving Silvan a clear overview of all devices.

“Now I feel more secure and I’m not stressed by it. It’s good to know that your assets are tracked and that someone has an eye on it,” Silvan shares.

Onboarding automation. The process has become structured and reliable. Personio triggers new account setups, while deeploi ensures everything is ready before the first working day.

Fast IT support. IT support requests no longer land on Silvan’s desk. Team members now contact deeploi directly for help, with response times within 12 minutes and resolved quickly and efficiently.
