Overview
• STABL’s IT team faced growing demands that exceeded the capacity of a single sysadmin but didn’t justify a second hire.
• Repetitive onboarding and device management tasks, combined with maintaining specialized lab equipment and infrastructure, were time-consuming and prone to small errors.
• With deeploi, STABL gained scalable IT support, streamlined device management, and automated onboarding — all in one place.
IT Challenge
STABL Energy, a Munich-based company specializing in industrial battery storage systems, was growing fast. But with scaling came the need to evolve internal IT systems as well.
The company hired a full-time system administrator, and this approach worked for a while, but demands quickly outpaced capacity:
First, as a hardware company with specialized lab equipment and a local network infrastructure, the workload was too much for one person — yet not enough to justify hiring a second. First-level support requests, like software access or login issues, were frequent. And the entire IT setup couldn’t rely on just one person, especially during vacation or sick leave.
Second, device management became more complex, particularly in times of rapid hiring. "We didn't have enough time to take care of those very repetitive processes," Michael notes. Tracking company-owned phones and laptops was complicated without a centralized system. STABL briefly considered managing an MDM in-house but realized it would become a major time sink.
Solution
Michael first heard about deeploi from a friend: "I thought: can this actually work? But the more we looked into it, the more it made sense."
STABL chose deeploi for its integrated approach to IT-as-a-Service: combining device procurement, MDM, onboarding automation and responsive support into one scalable solution. Here’s how it worked:
Device management and security: deeploi’s MDM platform simplified enrollment and software deployment. Devices are now centrally managed — no more manual tracking. iPhones and laptops are securely controlled, and software requests are implemented quickly.
Onboarding process: deeploi syncs with Personio, eliminating duplicate work for HR. New hires receive pre-configured devices, with all necessary software ready on first login.

Responsive IT support: deeploi’s support team handles first-level requests, freeing up internal resources and offering expertise across platforms like Office 365, Atlassian and other SaaS tools. "deeploi’s support is always friendly, responsive, and surprisingly well-informed about how we operate as a company," Michael highlights.
Flexible implementation: STABL and deeploi worked side-by-side to adapt workflows, ensuring a smooth handover without disrupting internal routines.
Outcome
With deeploi in place, STABL saw immediate improvements:
• Michael saves around five hours per week, freeing up time for higher-impact work.
• HR onboardings became smoother and more people-focused, with IT setup fully automated in the background.
• The IT environment now scales effortlessly, supporting team growth without increasing internal workload.
• Mobile devices and laptops are centrally managed, with minimal effort and complete visibility thanks to deeploi’s MDM.
